Journal of Deep Learning (JDL) is committed to supporting the principles of open access and protecting the intellectual property rights of authors. The following policy outlines the journal’s stance on copyright and licensing:

Copyright of articles published in Journal of Deep Learning remains entirely with the authors. JDL does not claim exclusive rights over the published work but obtains a non-exclusive right to publish, distribute, and preserve the article as part of the scholarly record.

2. Publication License

All articles published in JDL are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license. This license allows anyone to:

  • Copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format for any purpose, including commercial use;

  • Under the condition of providing appropriate credit to the author(s) and the original source.

3. License Statement

By submitting a manuscript to JDL and upon acceptance for publication, the author(s) agree to:

  • Retain the copyright of their work;

  • Grant JDL the right to publish the work under the CC BY license;

  • Ensure that the submitted work is original and does not infringe on the rights of any third party.

4. Author Self-Archiving and Distribution

Authors are permitted to:

  • Deposit and disseminate the final published version of their article via institutional repositories, personal websites, or other platforms;

  • Indicate that the article has been published in Journal of Deep Learning and include a link to the official published version.
